Outpatient Program

In June of 2011, The Child Center launched the opening of our Outpatient Clinic in Bend. The Child Center Outpatient program located in Bend is open from 9am until 7pm Monday through Friday. We serve children, adolescents, adults and families. Individual, family and group therapy is provided five days per week year round. Additional services provided by our clinic include Psychiatric Consultation and Medication Management. Our Outpatient Clinic accepts referrals from Pacific Source, Deschutes County Behavioral Health, local agencies, hospitals, insurance companies and local practitioners as well as private pay clients. Sliding scale fees are accepted. Please call, 542-728-0062 to schedule an appointment.

We currently have offices in two locations; 195 NW Wall St., Bend and 515030 Huntington Rd., La Pine. We also provide services to students at several high schools:

  • Bend High School
  • La Pine High School
  • Mt. View High School
  • Redmond High School
  • Ridgeview High School.

The Child Center’s Community-based Outpatient Programs focus on individuals with emotional, behavioral and mental health disorders, and their families.

Our outpatient programs are for individuals who are experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges that are having an effect on their day to day life. They may be experiencing depression or anxiety, struggling with issues stemming from physical or sexual abuse, or learning to cope with major life transitions.

Our outpatient services are based on individualized treatment plans and may include the following:

  • Individual therapy
  • Safety and crisis planning
  • Group therapy
  • Care coordination
  • Family therapy
  • Case management
  • School consultation*
  • Skills training
  • School-based therapy*
  • Parenting Education
  • Wellness services
  • Psychiatric Services

*These services are only provided to children and adolescents. Consolation is available to each child’s school to share treatment information and provide support. Therapy can be provided in a child’s school or other community locations convenient to the child or family. Parent involvement in therapy is an important part of treatment for children and adolescents.

Outpatient Program Cost

The cost of services may be covered by a variety of sources. We can bill the Oregon Health Plan as well as most private insurance companies. For individuals who don’t have health insurance, out Community Health Workers are available to help you find the best insurance options for you and your family. We also accept direct payment on a sliding scale.
