Food For Lane County Summer Food Program
Over the summer months Food For Lane County offers breakfast and lunch at no charge to anyone 18 years or younger at various sites.
In addition, anyone, anywhere in the United States can text FOOD to 877877, and you will immediately get a text back asking for your zip code, then you will be provided with locations where children can get free breakfasts and lunches during the summer near you. The text information service is run by No Kid Hungry, an initiative of the nonprofit organization Share Our Strength. Visit their website here: nokidhungry.org/what-we-do/summer-meals.
Download and print the Summer Food Program guide to keep the list of locations handy.
Download the Direction Service Summer Directory to find camps and services available during the summer months for youth and families with disabilities.
If you have questions give them a call at 541-686-5060 or visit their website here: directionservice.org
