The Child Center has available to Lane County residents
a wonderful resource library which covers a broad array of topics
relating to children and families who are dealing with severe emotional
and mental disorders. There are literally thousands of books, journals,
video tapes and other resources on such topics as divorce, depression
and suicide, adoption, fire setting, parenting, sexual and physical
abuse, ADHD, alcoholism, anger management, grandparents as parents,
grief and loss, separation issues, self esteem, speech and language,
child development, alcohol and teens, coping with life events such
as death or accidents or new siblings, living with a mentally ill
person, teaching tolerance and resource directories to mention just
a few of the resources available to parents.
The Child Center has these materials available at
the site located at 3995 Marcola Road as well as in our mobile resource
library. To visit the resource library, contact Diane Burt at (541)

are also available in our mobile resource library which operates
throughout six regions of Lane County. These regions include:

and Walterville.
